lakeoharaLooking for ideas for summer travel in Canada?

Whether you’re a newcomer looking to explore your adopted country, or if you’re just heading out for a summer holiday, the Globe and Mail’s recent Canada travel issue has some suggestions.

In “Our Favourite Places,” several writers recommend places they love, including Cobourg Beach on Lake Ontario, Lake O’Hara Lodge in the B.C. Rockies, and Bay St. Lawrence on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia.

The same issue also proposes summer skiing at Whistler-Blackcomb (open this year from June 20 through July 26) and venturing north to Iqaluit, the capital of Nunavut, Canada’s newest territory.
