How to meet Canadian entrepreneurs

canada30-digital-media-2009Want to meet entrepreneurs and other cool people in your new Canadian community?

Meetup.com is a good place to start. They’ve got entrepreneur groups in many major Canadian cities:

Vancouver Entrepreneurs Meetup Group

Greater Toronto Entrepreneurs Group

Montreal Entrepreneur.ca Group

Calgary Entrepreneur & Business Professionals Group

Edmonton Entrepreneur Meetup Group

Do you work (or want to work) in Digital Media? Look at the Canadian Digital Media Network, based in Waterloo, Ontario, which co-hosts the annual Canada 3.0 Digital Media Conference. Also have a look at our recent post: Digital media people to watch in 2010.

Another option is to check out Green Drinks. While not specifically an entrepreneurs’ group, it’s a regular gathering of people interested in the environment, sustainability, and other related issues, and their get-togethers attract many entrepreneurial types. They’re hosting upcoming events in Vancouver (Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010), Toronto (also Wednesday, Jan. 20), and Montreal (Tuesday, Jan. 26), among others.

Have you found a good networking group for entrepreneurs in Canada? Post a comment about it below. Thanks!
