When you’re new in town, networking events become a lifeline — for job contacts, business opportunities, and just making friends.

If you’re a high-tech entrepreneur in Canada, there’s a networking group just for you: Startup Drinks.

This group hosts free monthly meetups for entrepreneurs across Canada. In most cities, they meet on the last Wednesday of the month. Lots of events are happening tonight!

Here’s today’s schedule:

Toronto: 6pm at the Elephant and Castle, 212 King Street West

Ottawa: 6:30pm at Patty Boland’s, 101 Clarence Street

Montreal: 5:30pm at Brutopia, 1219 Rue Crescent

Halifax: 6pm at Loose Cannon, 1566 Argyle Street

Fredericton: 5pm at Garrison District Ale House, 426 Queen Street

St. John: 5pm at Big Tide Brewing Company, 30 Princess Street

Moncton: 5pm at Vie Tapas & Lounge, 196 Robinson Court

In a couple of other cities, the Startup Drinks events are scheduled for next Tuesday, April 6:

Waterloo: 6pm at Mcmullan’s on King, 56 King Street North

Vancouver: Details TBA
