에 따르면 머서 2009 Cost of Living survey, Toronto and other Canadian cities are far more affordable destinations for expatriates than many other spots around the globe.

In this annual survey of 143 cities across six continents, 토론토 ranked as the 85th most expensive city, 밴쿠버 93로, 오타와 121로, 및 몬트리올 as 123rd.
